The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying and securing new customer opportunities and working with internal and external partners to ensure the solutions are implemented effectively, and the ongoing relationship with the customer is supported and developed. The ability to find, develop and close business is essential, and the nature of our solutions requires an individual with a solid understanding of business and experience of selling complex solutions and outsourcing contracts.

The Business Development Executive should have proven experience in defining, developing and securing a full range of physical supply chain distribution programs, or experience in selling web based solutions to large organizations. The ability to sell in a consultative style and engage competently across all levels within an organization is essential. Top performers earn over $200k.


  • Find, develop and close new business opportunities
  • Provide quotations and responses to RFPs
  • Negotiate contracts
  • Answer technical questions regarding eCommerce or Supply Chain where the client requires defined expertise to solve business process issues.
  • Provide “out of the box” recommendations on how to improve a client’s current supply chain or eCommerce operating model.
  • Engage with prospective clients at multiple levels to understand and discuss various business process steps.
  • Understand and articulate industry benchmarks and best practices for delivering eCommerce and Supply Chain services.
  • Extensive experience with the development of client business proposals and Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Maintaining industry and market expertise that will aid in the selling process.
  • Ability to discuss GWS service and solution capabilities and applicability to a client’s business needs.


  • Minimum 5-8 years experience selling supply chain services or technology based business solutions with a proven track record and consistent attainment
  • Sales driven and customer focused
  • Independent, self-starter with the ability to prospect and close business with excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Experience defining, designing and securing outsourced services at the “C“ level
  • Ability to secure immediate revenue
  • Strong ‘hands on’ capability
  • High flexibility (work hours, job content, etc.)
  • High energy level
  • College degree preferred/advanced degree desirable
