GlobalWare Solutions Hosts Successful Open House

Haverhill, MA – Over 300 people attended GlobalWare Solutions’ recent open house, which focused on its new Modular Integrate Manufacturing System (MIMS) and the opening of its new 100,000 sq. ft. start-of-the-art product assembly and fulfillment facility. The event was another in the ongoing series presented by GlobalWare to help customers keep up with the changing trends and technologies in the industry.

The presentations centered on the transition of the software documentation business from a physical based deliverable to one that is focused on the management and repurposing of the intellectual property or digital assets of the developer. As this transformation continues, end users may receive either a physical product box or they may obtain the same information via an electronic download from the Internet. The purpose of the open house was to highlight that GlobalWare Solutions is a vertically integrated software supplier that can do both.

“We are constantly searching for ways to add value for our customer,” said James R. Bartlett, GlobalWare’s CEO. “By being able to efficiently manage our customers’ intellectual property in digital form, we are in the unique position to help lower costs, decrease time to market, and drive revenue.”

Some of the latest in technology and systems on display at the event included:

·         DataShare Data Management System, which provides the latest in digital workflow asset management, custom content management, digital archiving, file retrieval and delivery options.

·         Gentran’s EDI software which makes the critical link in electronic fulfillment and distribution operations

·         The latest in PDF workflow including a softproofing solution that allows documents to be viewed on screen and eliminates the need for a hard copy proof.

·         Rampage RIP system that provides a common front end to imaging systems from a wide range of manufacturers. Rampage allows the user to preview and edit traps and resolve preflight issues before the job gets to press.

·         BasysPrint UV platesetter, the latest in CTP technology provides computer to conventional plate using UV light.

·         Presstek Pearl HDP proofing device that provides true halftone, contract quality digital proofs.

·         OCE DemandStream Electronic Print, the industry’s first on-demand pin-less custom digital web press installation.

·         Xerox DocuColor 40 provides an affordable solution for quality, digital full color on demand printing.

Guests also toured GlobalWare Solutions’ state-of-the-art software manufacturing facility which includes web and sheetfed conventional printing, CD-ROM and CDR replication, full packaging manufacturing, product assembly, and fulfillment/distribution.

The event featured the debut of the newest application of GlobalWare Solutions’ GlobalView Web Tool Suite, an internet based applications set which allows GlobalWare customers to connect with the company on everything from inventory reporting to file management, distribution ordering and tracking, and BOM management.

RMAtrack, an integrated package which allows simultaneuos tracking and management of product returned from the channel, is a key application for the retail software market.

“Our web tool package is a key enabler for us in this industry,” said Peter McGuirk, President of GlobalWare Solutions. “Combined with our vertical integration, it is what clearly differentiates us. Ours is a proven model, and more customers continue to recognize that.”
