Headquartered in Haverhill, MA, GlobalWare Solutions (GWS) is a leading provider of supply-chain management, fulfillment, e-commerce, and reverse logistics services. It serves the hardware and software OEMs as well as the EMS, broadband, medical devices and retail industries. Representative clients include Sun Microsystems, Nortel, Philips Medical, Cox Communications, and Palm. The company is backed by Mezzanine Management LLC, a private equity investor. Founded in 1978, GWS employs 350 people and has non-union production operations in Massachusetts, California, the Netherlands and four recently acquired facilities in Asia (Singapore, Malaysia and two in China). The company is emerging from a turnaround, having reduced costs and increased cash flow while building new management teams. The company is currently searching for a high quality Director of Human Resources to provide direction to both the headquarters location in Haverhill and the remote location in Redwood City, California.

Reporting to the CFO, the Director of Human Resources (HR) will manage a payroll function and provide human resource direction for approximately 250 employees in the US. During the turnaround a new management team has been hired and the Director of HR will help to round out that team and bring it up to full efficiency. Near term, the position will manage the typical functions within the company of compensation, benefits, and employee relations. The Director will build and manage appropriate human resource controls and procedures for a professional organization. Longer term, the Director will help build and evaluate motivating performance driven incentive plans, communications programs and other reward and recognition programs. This position is required to be an initiator and active contributor at the senior management team level and will provide sound, independent business judgment and excellent analytical skills to the senior management team and the investor.

We seek an exceptional Human Resource leader and business partner with strong operational skills and who has demonstrated excellence in working in non-union manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will combine effective day-to-day human resource skills with excellent strategic perspective and broad analytical competencies. The Director will know how to get the right information fast, assess its impact and develop creative alternatives. The Director must then communicate all actions effectively and work with management to implement. The role demands excellent negotiation and communication skills, developed on a career track that has some practical applications experience built upon strong process and control foundations. We seek strong presentation skills combined with knowledge of company governance issues in the post Sarbanes-Oxley world. Experience with ERP systems implementations is also important. Candidates will be familiar with lean manufacturing or other supply chain environments and will have experience managing high growth.
